Calling all mobile developers! We're looking to showcase the best in mobile development, design, UX, and cloud services at CODESTRONG 2012. Luckily for us, YOU happen to be the experts!
Submit an abstract for a 40 minute presentation (plus 10 minutes of Q&A) in one of the following topic areas for 2012:
Mobile Development
Wrote a client-side library for socket communication with node.js on the back end? Have a really slick UI component you've developed for Android, iOS, or Mobile Web? We want to hear from you. We're looking to accept presentations on techniques, best practices, and clever hacks for Titanium Mobile (native or mobile web). Some content areas that are particularly interesting to us are:
Mobile Design and User Experience
Design and user experience are always vital components to a successful application. But with smaller screen sizes, (typically) shorter usage sessions, and touch interactions, design and UX might be even more critical on mobile devices. At CODESTRONG 2012, we are looking to accept presentations on mobile design and UX covering topics such as:
• Designing for touch interactions
• Integration of location, sensors, and other device-specific APIs
to enhance an application's utility
• Best practices in mobile UX
• Graphic design for mobile platforms (iOS, Android, mobile web,
all three???)
• Anything and everything that will aid the creation of delightful
and beautiful mobile software
Cloud Services
The explosion in popularity of mobile devices has accelerated an already rising trend, pushing developers away from dynamically generated web pages and further toward rich-client/server architectures. Many developers, who are adding the most value on the front end, are leveraging persistence and high-level app services in the cloud to keep from re-inventing the wheel time and again on the server-side. When server-side code is required to help deliver value in the application, scalable cloud infrastructures can help speed that development process along as well. At this year's conference, we are looking to accept presentations linking mobile apps to cloud services, including (but not limited to) these topics:
Mobile Strategy
Building a mobile app version of your website does not a mobile strategy make. Businesses intending to reach customers on their mobile devices need to understand how mobile is changing their industry – whether they realize it or not. For CODESTRONG 2012, we would like to hear from technical architects and business leaders on how they're thinking about mobile. Topics may include:
• Analyzing mobile development requirements
• Consistent branding across platforms
• Building mobile development teams
• Monetization strategies on mobile
• Anything and everything related to the business of mobile software
development
